Norway's air traffic controllers' strike is over
Norway's air traffic controllers' strike is over. The parties reached an agreement shortly before 2 pm on Monday, following several days of conflict that caused disruption, airspace closures and cancelled flights.
The agreement provides for pay rises within the framework of the main collective bargaining settlement, amounting to around 4.4 per cent. According to DN.no, the supplements vary considerably: air traffic controllers with more than 20 years of service will receive an additional NOK 72,000 this year, while those with up to nine years of service will receive NOK 24,000.
The agreement does not include any changes to working hours or breaks. The air traffic controllers’ association says the matter will be discussed further with the employer.

The agreement is valid for two years. Avinor nevertheless expects continued delays as a result of the strike, but is working to restore air traffic to normal as quickly as possible.
