Scandic Hotels increases revenue - strong start to the year
The hotel chain reports increased revenue and expansion in Norway despite challenges.
In the first quarter, net sales increased by 3.1 percent to 4,689 MSEK. Adjusted for currency effects, this corresponds to an organic growth of 4.7 percent. The occupancy rate rose to 55.8 percent and the revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased to 665 kronor.
The operating profit amounted to 212 MSEK, while adjusted EBITDA was 105 MSEK - on par with last year. The free cash flow improved compared to the same period in 2025, but remains negative.
- Scandic starts the year with a stable quarter. The second quarter has had a good start and we are entering the high season with good cost control and a strong booking position, writes CEO Jens Mathiesen in the report.
