The hotel is targeting the fast-growing economy segment and combines food and drink around the clock.

"With Scandic Go, we are broadening our offering in Gothenburg and can welcome more guests to Scandic. We already have several strong hotels in the city and see great opportunities in now also complementing them with a new offering in a growing category. In a city with strong energy, development and appeal, we see good opportunities to create value for both guests and Gothenburg," says Peter Jangbratt, COO of Scandic Hotels Sweden, in a written comment.

The Lilla Bommen area is undergoing one of Sweden’s largest urban development projects. A long-term lease agreement has been signed with the property owner Castellum.

Scandic Go forms a central part of Scandic’s growth plans up to 2030. This is the fourth Scandic Go hotel in Sweden. Recently, the first Scandic Go hotel in Oslo also opened, and next further establishments are planned in Oulu, Turku, Helsingborg and Jönköping.
