Tobias Jönsson left SAS for the charter industry in the midst of the travel boom’s return after the pandemic. But the expansion went too fast and was followed by both losses and an aviation crisis. Now Apollo is to grow more smartly - with AI, sports hotels and small-scale destinations as its weapons.
