Norse adds extra flight for the World Cup round of 16

The flight departs from Oslo on Friday evening, 3 July, and lands in New York the same evening local time, just in time for Sunday’s round of 16 match at New Jersey Stadium.

According to the airline, work to reassign aircraft and crew began immediately after the final whistle on Tuesday evening.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has capacity for 338 passengers. The airline also says it is planning special activities on board to make the journey part of the supporter experience.

Norse also highlights the historical parallel with Norway’s notable World Cup victory over Brazil in 1998, when the teams last met in a World Cup.

Tickets go on sale today, 1 July, as soon as the operational preparations are complete.
