During 2025 and 2026, SAS has been named Europe's most punctual airline seven times and topped the global ranking four times.

"Punctuality is important to our customers, and the result reflects the work of our employees," says Paul Verhagen, SAS's Chief Commercial Officer, in a press comment.

August is one of the busiest months of the year for European aviation, with high passenger volumes and heavily congested airspace. Despite this, SAS achieved an on-time performance rate of 87 per cent during the month.

Cirium's On-Time Performance report is a recurring comparison of airlines' punctuality. A flight is considered on time if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival time.
