BRA's reconstruction complete - debts reduced by 95 percent
After an extensive reconstruction, BRA is ready to fly on with support from SAS and new financial strategies.
For the third time in five years, BRA has been reconstructed. Lawyer Hans Renman has pieced together a comprehensive puzzle with the four companies that survive and their many creditors.
The 79-page reconstruction plan was approved by the Solna District Court a month ago and has now become legally binding.
A key reason for the approval of the reconstruction is Braathens Regional Airways' seven-year agreement to operate approximately 40 percent of SAS's domestic traffic. In the future, BRA will only conduct ACMI operations, meaning providing aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance.
