Qatar Airways resumes services to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda
Qatar Airways is restarting flights this summer to both Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda as part of the airline's continued commitment to expanding its global route network.
From 15 July, services between Doha and Helsinki will resume with four departures a week. From 1 August, services will be increased to daily departures. This is stated in a press release.
The airline particularly highlights improved connections for travellers from Australia, Kenya and South East Asia via the company’s hub in Doha.
At the same time, Qatar Airways is returning to Tokyo Haneda, where the airline will complement its existing services to Tokyo Narita. Here too, services will begin with four weekly departures from 15 July before the route becomes daily from August.
The move is part of Qatar Airways’ continued rebuilding and expansion of its international network. During the summer, the airline will serve more than 160 destinations globally.
For the Nordic market, the return to Helsinki means that Qatar Airways is strengthening competition in the long-haul market from Finland, while also improving onward accessibility to Asia, Africa and Australia via Doha.
