SAS Europe’s most punctual airline in July
SAS was Europe’s most punctual airline in July, according to analysis company Cirium’s latest On-Time Performance report.
The airline achieved an on-time performance rate of 84.32 per cent, measured as the share of flights that arrived no more than 15 minutes behind schedule.
The result comes during the busiest travel period of the year, when airlines and airports handle large passenger volumes and the risk of disruption is high.
"Being Europe’s most punctual airline during the most operationally demanding month of the year is something we are very proud of. It reflects the work our employees do every day to deliver a reliable travel experience," says SAS CEO Anko van der Werff in a press release.
SAS has had a strong year when it comes to punctuality. Earlier this year, the company was also named the world’s most punctual airline in both March and April.
Over the past two years, SAS has topped Cirium’s European punctuality ranking on seven occasions and the global ranking four times.
Cirium’s On-Time Performance Ranking is one of the airline industry’s most widely used measurements of operational reliability and is based on the share of flights that arrive within 15 minutes of schedule.
