European airports grow despite the war in Iran

Passenger numbers increase in Europe despite disruptions in the Middle East and rising fuel prices.

In total, over 52,000 flight movements were cancelled during the first nine days and around 1.7 million weekly seats disappeared from the market - equivalent to about a third of the region's capacity before the conflict.

Despite this, several major European hubs show clear growth in March, with London Heathrow, Frankfurt, and Istanbul reporting increased passenger numbers. Spain and Sweden also report an increase.
