Gen Z is driving the All Inclusive boom
According to new booking statistics from TUI, nearly half of all travellers aged 18 to 29 now choose to book All Inclusive.
At the same time, the tour operator is seeing continued growth for the concept. The share of Gen Z travellers booking All Inclusive has increased by 3 percentage points compared with last year.
- We see a generation that is extremely used to comparing, optimising and making decisions. That is precisely why the holiday becomes an exception. Here, people would rather not have to choose, says Dian Martinez Valencia, communications manager at TUI Sweden.
According to TUI, the development is about a changing view of luxury. For younger travellers, convenience, predictability and less planning are carrying ever more weight when booking a holiday.
Not having to keep track of the holiday budget, book restaurants in advance or adapt activities to different budgets within the travel party has become an important part of the travel experience.
At the same time, TUI argues that All Inclusive no longer means travellers stay within the hotel grounds for the entire stay.
- Many use it as a secure base, but still go out, discover local restaurants and enjoy the nightlife. It is not about either-or, but about getting the best of both worlds, says Dian Martinez Valencia.

TUI's booking statistics show that the following hotels are the most popular among Swedish travellers aged 18 to 29:
